Paris
Paris offers choirs an eclectic mix of extraordinary culture, world famous cuisine and an extremely vibrant atmosphere. There is never a dull moment to be found in the ‘city of love’. When you are not performing in some of the world’s most prestigious cathedrals or churches you could be climbing the Eiffel Tower, visiting the Musée du Louvre or Arc de Triomphe, simply relaxing and taking in the sights of the Champs Elysées or enjoying a cruise along the River Seine. With some of the country’s most beautiful concert settings and warm, enthusiastic audiences, this fascinating city will live long in the memories of your choir.
Paris is a great destination for a long weekend tour, although with so much to see and do in this stunning city you’ll most definitely want to stay for longer.
Where to Sing
We have access to a range of magnificent venues in Paris, all selected with the needs of your choir in mind. The venues listed below are only some examples of the almost limitless performance possibilities Paris has to offer.
St. Sulpice, La Madeleine, St. Severin, and Notre Dame
We can arrange for choirs with a sacred repertoire to participate in mass or give a short informal
recital at the famous Notre Dame Cathedral. Mass participation or afternoon concerts are possible at the churches of La Madeleine, St Severin and St Sulpice.
Chartres Cathedral
One of our more popular day trips is to Chartres, stopping at the magnificent Chateau of Versailles, and topped off by a recital at the famous Chartres Cathedral.
American Cathedral
If you prefer a more intimate, congregational audience, or if you wish to perform a mixed repertoire, then a performance at the American Cathedral would be an excellent inclusion for your itinerary.
What to Do
Musée du Louvre and Musée d’Orsay
The world famous Louvre and Musée d’Orsay offer your choir the opportunity to take in some of the world’s most famous works of art. From Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa to the more recent works of Monet or Renoir, these museums are an experience not to be missed.
Montmartre
The old artists’ quarter, fascinating come nightfall, offers superb views of the Parisian skyline. Famous for its souvenir shopping, a trip to Montmartre isn’t complete without a visit to the Sacré-Coeur Basilica.
The Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées and l’Arc de Triomphe
The Eiffel Tower is the defining symbol of Paris, and the view from the top of this remarkable structure should not be missed! Closer to the ground, why not take a stroll up the Champs Elysées, enjoying the many exquisite shops and vendors en route to the Arc de Triomphe.
