Band Tours to The Netherlands
The popular seaside resort of Noordwijk is located just a short drive from Amsterdam and The Hague. The rich history of the Netherlands can truly be appreciated from this coastal resort, with its abundance of museums, stunning buildings and, of course, the Dutch windmills. A visit in spring is excellent for touring the flower gardens and a stroll along the white sandy beaches, ice cream in hand, is a must!
Performance venues here are unique and frequently situated close to local markets and busy café lined squares. With so much to see and do, Noordwijk is perfect for a relaxing and scenic band tour.
Where to Play
Market Square, Delft
To call this a market square is an injustice; an impressive church tower overlooks the large main square and the surrounding shops which, as well as being architecturally stunning, also exhibit and sell the local Delft porcelain tiles. The church overlooking the square also acts as the final resting place for the Dutch Royal Family and is the equivalent, in both build and purpose, to the UK’s Westminster Abbey.
Holiday Parks
We have developed contacts with a number of holiday parks in and around the region which are perfect for an evening performance. Generally located along the coast, the many sand dunes offer a fantastic backdrop to your band’s performance as the day draws to a close.
Stadhuisplein Leiden
This old university town offers a perfect outdoor space for your band to perform in. The pretty canal side setting is surrounded by cafes and on Wednesdays, the local market moves in bringing with it a crowd of appreciative audiences.
What to Do
Amsterdam
With the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum and The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam is perfect for a day trip. All its unique culture can be viewed in style on one of the many relaxing canal tours.
De Zaanse Schans
In this 17th-century settlement near Amsterdam, visit the working windmills, clog-maker’s workshop, tin foundry, bakery and cheese workshop, or simply sit back and enjoy a relaxing river cruise.
Beaches
Spend the day lazing away on the many white sandy beaches on the coast of Noordwijk. For the more active in the group, kite surfing is a must or for the not so adventurous, there are plenty of ice cream vendors to take advantage of!
