Orchestra Tours to Paris, France

The bohemian, avant-garde and multicultural city of Paris boasts over 2,000 years of history, culture, art and music, so it’s no surprise that it welcomes over 44 million visitors every year making it one of the most visited cities in the world. Iconic monuments, mouth-watering patisseries, quaint back street cafes and a vibrant social calendar all combine in this striking city offering something for every member of your group to fall in love with.

Between performances on one of the city’s numerous, purpose-built bandstands or in one of the city’s exquisite churches there will be plenty of time to set off on the tourist trail. Climb the Eiffel Tower for spectacular views of the city, enjoy a spot of shopping on the Champs Elysées, see the works of Monet and Rodin at the Musée d’Orsay and wander through the old artists’ quarter and up to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre. If we could recommend any excursions in Paris they would be a boat trip down the River Seine, the perfect way to see many of Paris’ iconic sites, and an evening climb of the Eiffel Tower for an awesome view of the city by night.

France is famed for its food and drink and there is no better opportunity to sample the produce then in Paris, so be sure to take plenty of breaks to kick back and relax at one of the city’s many cafes or restaurants.

Our favourite venue:
The American Cathedral

The American Cathedral is one of our favourites – well known by the local community for the many concerts it holds each year, we find that our groups are often welcomed by an appreciative audience. The neo-Gothic architecture of the building produces a fantastic acoustic as well as a dramatic backdrop for orchestras wishing to perform a varied repertoire.

La Madeleine

Another well known church in Paris, La Madeline plays host to regular afternoon recitals and attracts an audience made up of the local congregation. The striking exterior, which is surrounded by fifty two Corinthian columns, and the abundance of neo-classical features and charm create a spine-tingling ambience and an unforgettable performance experience.

Jardin du Luxembourg

Perform on the beautiful large bandstand amid the Italian style gardens of the Senat. The park is a hive of activity during the summer months with children renting small boats to steer across the Grand Bassin and visitors helping themselves to chairs and indulging in an ice cream whilst listening to your performance. Take time to relax and enjoy the gardens with their geometric patterns and numerous statues, take a seat at one of the chess tables or join in with a game of bowls.

Disneyland® Resort Paris – Magic Music Days

For a performance in bright and fun surroundings, a concert at Disneyland® Resort Paris on a Magic Music Day is an incredible musical experience! The Disney Magic Music Days programme offers performance opportunities to amateur groups with the aim of giving participants a glimpse into Disney’s professional world of entertainment. Groups are offered a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience of becoming a ‘Disney’ performer for the day! A co-ordination team is assigned to each group to guide them through the preparation for their ‘Disney Magic Music Days’ show, and will also take care of them on arrival and for the performance itself.

The Disney technical team is also on hand to add those finishing touches and make sure everything runs smoothly for a magical experience you will never forget! Participation in the Disney Magic Music Days programme is subject to audition.

Montmartre

The old artists’ quarter is fascinating by day and night with superb views of the Parisian skyline and ample oppotunity for souvenir shopping. No trip is complete without a visit to the famous Sacré-Cœur Basilica.

Seine River Cruise and the Moulin Rouge

This is one excursion no band member will want to miss. A relaxing cruise along the River Seine whilst enjoying a drink, followed by an evening’s entertainment at the famous Moulin Rouge!

Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe

The Eiffel Tower is the defining symbol of Paris and the view from the top of this remarkable structure should not be missed. Closer to the ground, why not take a stroll up the Champs Elysees, enjoying the exquisite shops and cafés en route to the Arc de Triomphe.

Musée d’Orsay and Musée du Louvre

These world famous museums offer your band the opportunity to take in some of the world’s most famous works of art; from Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, to the more recent works of Monet and Renoir.
