Youth Music Tours to Lake Geneva
The scenically spectacular Lake Geneva provides a stunning backdrop for your youth music tour. Take a day trip to the Mer de Glace in Chamonix to experience the views over the great ice sea, or explore the melting pot of international democracy through a visit to the United Nations building in Geneva. Lake cruises, thermal baths, visits to cheese and chocolate factories, the local aqua park and cable car rides into the mountains are just some of the other exciting excursion opportunities this area provides, and these, combined with fantastic performance venues in beautiful surroundings, ensure a truly memorable performance tour for your group.
Where to Perform
Evian-les-Bains
Groups can perform outdoors at the Musical Fountain or on Place Charles de Gaulle in the pleasant lakeside town of Evian. Choirs might alternatively choose to sing in Evian’s lovely church, situated in the centre of town.
Chamonix
Groups can also perform away from Lake Geneva, up in the Alps in the town of Chamonix. A variety of town squares and the church host regular concerts for the summer season’s tourists.
What to Do
Aquaparc
This large waterpark has both indoor and outdoor swimming and even includes a “beach” area on the banks of Lake Geneva. A fun day out for all of our youth groups visiting this area!
UN Building, Geneva
The Palais des Nations has been home of the UN since 1946. It is the most active diplomatic multilateral centre in the world and groups can have a tour round the facilities to see what really happens!
Mer de Glace, Chamonix
The Mer de Glace is the second largest glacier in the Alps approximately 9 miles long, almost a mile wide, and nearly 1200 ft high in places. The Montenvers to Mer de Glace steep cog railway leaves from the valley floor in Chamonix and takes you to an elevation of 6000 feet through some spectacular scenery. You can also visit the ice caves, where figures are sculpted into the ice every year.
