Youth Music Tours to Normandy

With its famous sights, fascinating history and close proximity to home, Normandy’s 350 miles of coastline and richly varied regions give you a wonderful choice of landscapes, scenery and culture. Visit the World Heritage Site of Mont Saint Michel which is today one of the most famous sights in Normandy. Built on a rock pinnacle, and joined to the mainland by a causeway, the Abbey is an awe-inspiring sight. The events of 1944 in Normandy can be appreciated by visits to some of the infamous landmarks of World War II, such as the D-Day landing beaches, Longue Gun Battery or a surviving Mulberry Harbour.

Juno Beach Centre,Courseulles-sur-Mer

Here your group will experience a moving and thought provoking encounter as you perform at this permanent memorial to the Canadians who served in France during the Second World War. Groups are given the warmest of welcomes and a guided tour of the museum before performing in this striking building just a stone’s throw from the sandy beach. Your group can also visit the German beach bunker.

The Bayeux tapestry

See the world famous 230ft long tapestry depicting the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England in 1066. Surprisingly humorous commentary is guaranteed to keep your group interested.

See and touch some of the military equipment used in operation overlord in 1944 at the Bayeux Museum, or visit the British Cemetery which is an informative and emotional excursion.

D-Day Beaches

A tour to the area would not be complete without a moving visit to the D-Day landing beaches. The 360? cinema in Arromanches les Bains shows authentic footage that throws visitors into the heart of the terrifying action.
