The sheer scale and devastation of the Holocaust can be very difficult to not only teach, but to comprehend and, in attempting to do so, we risk removing ourselves completely from its reality and its effects on individuals. The Holocaust iWitness encourages the study of individuals’ lives as well as the mass extermination of a vast number of people.

The Holocaust iWitness has two learning focuses; firstly to consider the full chronology of events and secondly, to study how those events affected real people. To help students in learning about the Holocaust, the resources focus on following key eyewitnesses through their experiences and offer time for students to reflect on, and respond to, the information they learn.
