Offering support and guidance for you as a teacher, the Teacher Resources present factual information, exercises for use before and after your visit and instruction on how they may be incorporated into your existing teaching.

In the introductory pages of the Teacher Resources, you will find curriculum information, selected visits and related eyewitness accounts, along with a number of possible enquiry questions. The predominant pages in the Resources however, are the Topics. Reflecting the chapters found in the Student Fieldbook, each topic concentrates on one particular event or battle in WWI and contains various documents, each designed to allow easy printout or upload onto your school’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

In addition to your Teacher Resources, you will also receive a set of Excursion Guides. These documents, written by our battlefield specialist, Jim Harkness, are available for the majority of our excursions and contain background information and interesting anecdotes about the location. The Excursion Guides you receive will reflect the visits in your itinerary.
