Salamanca Language Recommended Visits
The people of Salamanca are said to speak the ‘purest’ form of the Spanish language, Castilian, which makes it the perfect base for your trip. Here are some of our most highly recommended cultural visits and exciting leisure excursions:
Guided walking tour
Start your trip with a guided walking tour of the city, a great way to get your bearings and see the very best of Salamanca. Tours can be in Spanish, English or both, although opting for Spanish will really help your students develop their aural and verbal skills. As well as seeing the sights, they’ll also learn some useful hints and tips about the city’s background.
Tapas with tuna
Learn about Spanish cuisine, soak up the local culture and allow students to practise their Spanish on a tapas evening with a twist! You’ll be entertained by a local university band called ‘La Tuna’ as you sample traditional Spanish tapas from the Salamanca area.
Strut your stuff in an exciting flamenco lesson and try out this typically Spanish dance style for yourself. A teacher will use simple Spanish instructions to guide your group through some of the basic flamenco steps. This truly is a fun Spanish learning experience that won’t be easily forgotten by student or teacher!
