Safety & Support - Disability & Special Requirements on Tour

At Rayburn Tours we want all members of our groups to be part of enjoyable and successful tours.

If you have a disability or medical condition which requires extra support or assistance whilst on tour we are happy to help plan arrangements and offer you the peace of mind that your needs have been catered for.  In order to achieve this it is important that we are informed well in advance of your tour; in order that we can adapt any necessary arrangements to incorporate the appropriate facilities into your tour ensuring suitability of accommodation, transport and venues.

To allow this to happen we may require certain information about your needs on tour and these may include some of the following questions/areas

  • Travel and getting around (level of assistance required, equipment needed etc. Most airlines have a minimum notice period we have to adhere to for special requests).
  • Accommodation requirements (special requests, ground floor rooms, lifts, shower access etc).
  • Special equipment (do you require any special equipment? E.g. wheelchair, carriage of such equipment on transport etc).

By informing us at an early stage we can ensure that you have the right level of support during your tour, we can contact venues, accommodation and transport suppliers on your behalf - in advance of your arrival.  It is important that we work together to ensure that all of your needs are taken care of, allowing you to make the most of your tour and enjoy your visit.

For further information or advice please feel free to ask a member of our team who will be happy to help.

Additionally ABTA and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office offer guidance on passengers traveling abroad with disabilities and special requirements.  Click on the links below to view this information.
