It is our policy to operate tours with the highest standards of health and safety that are reasonably practicable. By any reasonable definition of the term, school travel is safe but issues can and do arise from time to time. By choosing to travel with Rayburn Tours it is then that you are guaranteed a pro-active response and support of our systems and staff. In order to ensure we achieve these standards we have developed our own independent Safety Management System.

Our safety commitments to all of our clients are as follows:

• We will promote a positive health & safety culture throughout our own and our supplier’s organisations world-wide.
• We will set standards that meet the needs of our clients that are measurable, achievable and realistic.
• We will ensure the provision of adequate resources, both financial and human, to achieve a high level of safety and continuous improvement.
• We will endeavour to provide party leaders with information that will increase their ability to manage safety on their trips. Information will include: Generic Risk Assessments, assistance in the completion of LA forms and hotel audits.
• We will measure and review our performance and compliance with our own system, our work is audited annually by a suitably qualified external expert, Argent www.argenthands.uk.com.
• We will review, maintain and update the SMS annually.
• We will ensure our staffs are trained to respond quickly and efficiently in case of an emergency. We have dedicated 24-hour emergency phone lines during your tour, ensuring peace of mind for party leaders.
