Moscow & St Petersburg

Moscow and St. Petersburg are by far Russia's most fascinating cities. Moscow is a city of contrasts with its history in evidence through buildings, monuments and museums, yet at the same time it is clearly a showcase for the new Russia. Vastly different is St. Petersburg. The city was the cradle of revolution in October 1917 when the provisional government surrendered to the Bolsheviks at the Winter Palace.
