Opal Coast / Normandy

Normandy boasts centuries of culture, art and architecture with medieval towns, pretty harbours and glorious beaches. Normandy is a popular holiday region and of great historic interest from the days of William the Conqueror in the Middle Ages to the D-Day Landings of 1944.

For those who wish to spend as little time as possible travelling, the Opal Coast is an ideal area to visit only 35 minutes through Eurotunnel or 75 minutes by ferry from England. From the busy port of Calais to the seaside resorts of Berck-sur-Mer and Le Touquet, there is plenty to see and do with many opportunities to improve language skills.
