5 Day Skiing Option (8 Day Duration)
Ski More, Pay Less
This is becoming a popular option with our school group organisers. Leaving on the Saturday, the tour returns into the UK the following Saturday. This routine allows a day of rest after school and before departure at the start of the tour, and another day of rest after returning home at the end of the tour, and before starting school on the Monday. Experience shows that Monday morning absenteeism is significantly reduced with this option.
The option is also popular because it is cheaper, and it actually offers your students more time on-piste, since they ski for five hours per day for five days, instead of four hours per day for six days.
6 Day Skiing Option (9 Day Duration)
Departing on Saturday, returning on the following Sunday, this is the traditional six ski day trip. As standard, we include four hours instruction per day, for each of the six days. More instruction hours can be included on request.
Should you choose to fly to resort, groups will normally depart the UK on a Sunday, ski Monday to Saturday, spend an extra evening in resort and return to the UK on the Sunday. Custom and practice dictate that the changeover date in our resorts is a Sunday, however there may be occasions when we can step outside this rhythm.
Mid Week Arrival Days
Opportunities for arrivals other than on Sundays usually happen at the start and the end of the season – when hotels and resorts are less busy, and we are aware that this may be of interest to schools finishing a term on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, for example…
If you would like to investigate the options for a mid-week arrival/departure, then you need to consider the period prior to Christmas and at the very end of the season, usually the week after Easter. This can also be interesting because flight prices can be significantly cheaper. As you may expect – there are possibilities to amend this travel routine.
