Salzburgerland

Why Salzburgerland?

The Salzburgerland contains some of the most striking scenery in Europe, making a tour here an unforgettable experience. In Salzburg, don’t miss the two Mozart houses and the imposing fortress. Just outside Salzburg a visit to Hellbrunn Castle, with its superb gardens complete with famous novelty fountains, is always popular amongst the students. The mountains and lakes around Salzburg are spectacular – visit Zell am See and take a cable car to the top of the Schmittenhöhe for a stunning panoramic view over the Alps. Why not take in the views from a leisurely boat trip on Lake Wolfgang in the Austrian Lake District? Alternatively, it’s just a short trip over the German border to discover the fascinating saltmines and breathtaking natural beauty of the Berchtesgaden region.
