Whilst Wagner, Schumann and Mendelssohn all have strong associations with the town, it was Johann Sebastian Bach’s 27 years as Kantor of the Thomaskirche for which Leipzig has become most famous. Visits to the Thomaskirche, the Bach Archiv or the Grassi Musical Instrument Museum are a valuable experience for any budding musician.

CThe church was badly damaged in a bombing raid during World War II and stands as a symbol of the hardship Berlin endured during the war years and is a symbol of reconciliation with former enemies. Choirs are invited to perform inside the church with proceeds going towards the restoration of the building.
Berliner Dom
Choirs are offered the opportunity to perform a daytime recital in the Cathedral, the largest church in Berlin, that attracts thousands of visitors year after year.
