Black Forest

Why the Black Forest?

Find yourselves immersed in traditional German culture within the Black Forest. Sampling the local Black Forest Gateau is an experience not to be missed, whilst a visit to the world’s largest cuckoo clock grants an insight into the past when the region was famous for its wood-carving industry.

Many of our groups enjoy a day trip to Strasbourg in France, home of the European parliament – its historic centre and shops will definitely please the shopaholics amongst your group! The Black Forest area offers a great variety of excursions, from open air museums to exciting white knuckle rides at Europapark – there really is something for everyone in this beautiful region.

Titisee Lakeside Stage

A beautiful lakeside setting with fine views in this popular tourist resort. Afternoon concerts here attract a regular, appreciative audience.

The Hall or Outdoor Stage at Schönwald

A fine modern concert hall with an alternative outdoor stage in the gardens. Schönwald is a pretty, small town in the heart of the Black Forest.

Baden-Baden Outdoor Stage

A superb professional standard venue, home to the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, set in the Pavilion Gardens near the 19th century casino. For regular afternoon concerts, local audiences often number in the hundreds.

Steinwasenpark and Europapark

The region is blessed with not one, but two theme parks, guaranteeing a fun day out for all involved.

Triberg Waterfall

A walk up the side of the highest waterfall in Germany is an exhilarating experience.

Schauinsland Cable Car

Enjoy the scenic splendour from this popular cable car.

France and Switzerland

The cities of Strasbourg and Basel are within easy reach, and can add an extra international flavour to your tour.
