Canada & the USA

Why Toronto or New York?

A trip to North America truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any young musician. Performing in a new environment whilst immersed in a unique and breathtaking culture provides an ideal setting for your students’ development, both musically and personally.

Toronto & Niagara: In Canada, we highly recommend basing your group in Toronto. No visitor should miss the opportunity to ascend the CN Tower, the world’s tallest free standing structure, for a bird’s eye view of the city. Two hours away from Toronto are Niagara Falls, which provide a genuinely memorable day out for your group; and for those looking for an authentic Canadian experience then head north, where you can enjoy the fresh water beaches of Georgian Bay and visit the Wendat Huron Indian history museums.

New York: In the USA, we base most of our groups in New York. Take in a show on Broadway, enjoy browsing through Bloomingdales, ascend the Empire State Building and take the Staten Island Ferry for fantastic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the famous Manhattan skyline. Many of our recent tours have appreciated a moving visit to the site of the former World Trade Center, where they can view the current construction of the Freedom Tower and Memorial.

Prices from £969*

In order to offer the best value for money in both New York and Toronto, we use a variety of youth hostels, tourist hotels and university accommodation when term holidays allow.

In Toronto, we are pleased to recommend the Super 8 Downtown Hotel. Located in Chinatown, the hotel is an excellent base for exploring the city and its comfortable facilities. All members of your group will be accommodated in twin rooms and enjoy an excellent continental breakfast.

In New York, one of our favourites is the Broadway Hostel in Manhattan. Well located on the upper east side, the hostel recently underwent a full renovation. Students are accommodated in rooms for 6 – 8 people and staff in twin rooms.

*Prices based on 40 passengers with 4 free places travelling in October 2010 by air, on a half board basis staying at the Super 8 hotel for 6 days 5 nights. The tour price also includes travel insurance, a courier and 3 concerts. Priced at 15.01.10, and dependant on exchange rates at time of booking.
