London

Why London?

The vibrant capital city of the UK welcomes all kinds of performers from all over the world and offers fantastic venues. Groups can include visits to some of Britain’s most famous monuments on their tour, such as the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament or a trip on the London Eye for a bird’s eye view of the city. For a day trip out of the city, your group can have a fun day at a theme park or spend the day at one of the university cities of Oxford or Cambridge.

St Paul's and Southwark Cathedral

These contrasting cathedrals, on opposing banks of the River Thames, both welcome choirs to perform lunchtime recitals. At St Paul’s these are a capella “Dome Dais” concert held directly under the famous dome.

Indoor Venues

Most churches in London are happy to receive groups with any style of repertoire. Our favourites include St George’s Church in Bloomsbury, close to the British Museum and St James’ Church at Piccadilly Circus. Many churches in the City – London’s financial and business district – run lunchtime concert series which local workers attend.

Parks and Gardens

The Royal Parks of St James’ Park and Hyde Park both have large bandstands where lunchtime and weekend concerts are popular in the summer months. Other outdoor concerts take place on covered stages and even in a concrete amphitheatre next to Tower Bridge.
