Poland

Why Poland?

Kraków lies in the south east of Poland just over 2 hours’ drive from the Czech Republic’s border. Over 1,000 years old, the city has been placed on UNESCO’s list of world cultural heritage sites due to the many beautiful buildings which stand throughout the city. Areas not to be missed include Wawel Hill, on which stands the magnificent golden-domed cathedral and the castle with a most magnificent medieval courtyard. You could also visit the Jewish quarter, where the Nazis savagely turned synagogues into warehouses and, just outside Kraków, Wieliczka salt mine, where you descend 150 metres into a salty wonderland of statues, ballrooms and chapels, all sculpted from salt by the miners whilst excavating this precious mineral.

St Kinga Chapel

Situated in the Wieliczka Saltmines, just outside Krakow, this church lies 150 metres below ground. This will be an unforgettable concert for your choir!

St Paul’s & St Peter’s

Located on the Royal Route between the Market Square and Wawel Castle, this church was built in the 16th century by King Sigismond Waza III. Thanks to its good location, great acoustics and beautiful baroque decor, it is one of the most popular concert venues in Krakow, especially for well known vocal-instrumental works.
