After a surprisingly fast plane journey, we arrived in Munich after only two boarding passes, one wallet and one passport had gone missing. We took the coach to our hostel and raced to the room (to make sure we didn’t get the bottom bunk!)
After a quick refresh (or not so quick for Rosalind), we set off for Marienplatz. Or Mr Billing set off and we all struggled behind.
After an hour of exploring the square and it’s shops, we all gathered together for dinner which was to be had at Hofräuhaus Beer Hall, a famous meeting place of Hitler and the Nazis.
After a very traditional Bavarian meal and some interesting entertainment (including whipping the air, which we were all very confused, yet totally spellbound by) we were all well and truly ready for a good night’s s sleep. Although tired, each and every one of us is looking forward to tomorrow!
