Rayburn Loves December!

Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

So December is upon us and for us ski lovers that can only mean one thing (other than Christmas) – the ski season has arrived!

We in the office have been pining for our chance to head out to the mountains, and with many North American and high European resorts having opened throughout the past few weeks, that time has finally arrived!

Some of our team will be leaving the UK on Monday morning to kick-start our exciting winter of inspection trips, visits and courier trips. Within our ever growing ski department, these trips give our staff a chance to familiarise themselves with our fantastic resorts.

While we are away, we will be ensuring that the resorts are prepared for our groups’ arrivals throughout the season, creating some new leads, and last but not least, trying out our ski legs on the some of the beautiful runs. Then, towards the end of our trip, we also have the pleasure of welcoming our first groups into resort!

We will be updating our twitter feed (@RayburnSki) and blogs while we are away – so watch this space for our ski updates.

Here are our reasons as to why December is smart for ski trips:

  • Dusting off our ski jackets

Many locals do not consider skiing pre-Christmas (especially in Italy), meaning there are very few crowds, allowing groups to have control over where they wish to ski.

  • Being outside of the peak ski season (February half term/ Easter) flights to the main ski airports of Geneva, Innsbruck and Turin are much cheaper as it is considered to be ‘off-season’.
  • The low season rates for ski trip elements can sometimes save you up to 70% on lift passes and 15 % on accommodation! As well as bagging a great deal, you get to be the envy of all of your friends and the first on the snow!

Here at Rayburn Tours we offer many snow-sure resorts for pre-Christmas skiing at great prices. Speak to one of our dedicated Tour Consultants today on 01332 347 828 for their recommendations.
