Thomas Telford´s students did themselves and their school proud as they surveyed the fantastic basaltic columnar coastline, with a backdrop of the highest rollers off the Atlantic Iceland has seen this winter ! (Winds were later 40m/sec.) Millie found the footing at Seljalandsfoss a bit challenging but her trusty friends were onhand to help – and laugh! Will´s best experience – seeing Solheimjokull Glacier as if we were the first and only visitors – a real wilderness experience- beautiful, maginficent and awe inspiring -especially for those who were seeing a glacier for the first time. A wild and wonderful day which ended in the hot tub on the deck -pictures barred! Now THAT´S the way to study geography!
