Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

With so many groups venturing to inspiring destinations across the globe, it’s little wonder that we’ve been inundated with photo competition entries. Our groups have had us ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ at their best tour pics, and frankly making us more than a little envious!

While it hasn’t been an easy decision to make, a deserving winner has been picked.

The moment you’ve all been waiting for… Drum roll please…

The proud winner of the Education photo competition is:

Mrs Henderson of Weydon School taken during their Geography tour to Iceland in April 2015.

The winning photo is taken atop the impressive Sólheimajökull black glacier. It perfectly captures the animated group of budding-geographers from Weydon School donned with crampons, armed with pick axes and all geared up for their Blue Ice Adventure glacier walk.

Fittingly, party leader and Head of Geography, Mrs Henderson, described the best moment of her tour experience as, ‘seeing the students’ excitement and enthusiasm for geography whilst doing the glacier walk.’

How fantastic that this moment has been caught on camera as a memento of this once-in-a-lifetime trip!

The grand prize of £100 has been awarded to Mrs Henderson and will be put towards the school’s return trip to Iceland in April this year. These adventurers just can’t get enough of Iceland’s natural wonders!

You’ve got to be in it to win it
