Keeping Your Tour Costs Down

Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

A concert tour can be an extremely rewarding experience for your ensemble but sometimes the cost to individuals can be a concern. With our simple saving tips, you can keep the costs down and make your tour budget stretch that little bit further.

Coach it all the way

Travelling by coach is the most cost-effective way to travel as a group. It is also a more convenient option, as we can arrange for your coach to meet you at a pick-up point that suits you. Plus you can have the use of the coach for the duration of your tour, meaning you can hop on and off as you please and transport your instruments to and from venues with ease!

Handy hostels

For the cheaper accommodation price, it’s hostels over hotels every time! All of our hostels are fully audited and with our knowledge of the best hostels in each of our destinations, you can trust that your group will enjoy fantastic facilities in a great location. It’s not all about the savings – we’re firm lovers of the happy hostel ethos, where groups can enjoy the social benefits of hostel living and hang out in communal spaces.

Eating in is the new eating out

Pre-booking meals at your hostel or hotel is much cheaper than eating out. Many of our hostels also offer pack-ups so you can enjoy cheap and hassle free lunches whilst you’re out and about. If you do want to eat out (it’s a nice thing to do on tour in a new city!), we can recommend the best value restaurant in the area so you don’t end up with a scary bill.

Make the most of the free stuff!

Pick your pre and post-concert excursions wisely and make the most of the free (or cheap!) attractions in your chosen destination! With our extensive knowledge of the activities and excursions available in your destination, we can recommend the ‘must-sees’ that won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

Choose the place with the perfect price

You don’t have to travel far to give your ensemble memorable performance experiences in exciting new venues and with a range of budget-friendly tours to choose from, including Belgium, Normandy and Germany, touring doesn’t have to break the bank! With a number of fantastic venues on your doorstep, why not stay local on a UK concert tour? Head to the South Coast and enjoy a weekend of summer concerts or go north and perform in the stunning city of Edinburgh. Have somewhere in mind? Let us know and we can tailor-make your tour!

Time is of the expense

Low season = lower costs, meaning you could save money if you travel between September and March. If you want to soak up some sun on tour, take a look at our autumn sun destinations such as Costa Brava or Malta; or, if you don’t mind packing an extra layer, September and October tours to Belgium can be a great, cost-effective option.
