Greece is the Word!

With almost 150 students descending on Sportcamp Loutraki over the next 7 days, Clare and Andy from our Ski and Sport Department have flown out to Greece early to make sure that everything is ready for their arrival.

After a hearty breakfast, we met with Kostas, who helps to look after all our groups, for a walk around the camp. Sportcamp have recently invested heavily in their football and netball facilities and it was fantastic to see the new 6th generation pitch being used today.

There was great excitement later this morning as the new netball posts arrived today; we’re looking forward to seeing them installed in the sports hall to finish off the newly marked-out netball court.

Although football and netball are the main focus for our groups, it was also good to see the resurfaced tennis courts being used but on a hot day like today, there was no doubt that the pool was the most tempting.

We resisted the pool and headed down to the beach in Loutraki where the sea looked beautifully clear, the town is getting ready for the start of the summer season and we are happy to report that the frozen yoghurt is still as delicious as it was last year!

We’re off to Athens tomorrow and can’t wait to meet the first of our groups at the airport.
