Ciao from Lake Garda!

Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

Sports Tour Manager, Michael Varley, and Senior Tour Consultant, Mike Rollason, have swapped the office walls for the stunning scenery of Lake Garda this week, all with the aim of bringing you new sports tours to this beautiful region of Italy. We caught up with Michael who gave us the Lake Garda low down, as well as giving us all travel envy!

Lake Garda is the stunning setting for our new fantastic sports tours. On day one of our trip here, we have visited the superb Hotel Antares and got to know the south of the lake much better.

The Antares is a brilliant hotel option for any group, located close to Verona and Lake Garda. It has a huge outdoor pool, dozens of sports pitches as well as a bar and newly refurbished rooms.

The hotel is located close to Verona but really all of the major northern cities are within easy reach, so whether you want to visit the San Siro stadium in Milan or take a boat tour down Venice’s grand canal, it’s all possible.

Nearby is also Lake Garda itself. Whilst there are boat tours, theme parks and fun activities to find, the towns on the lake are real gems too.

We’re lucky to be staying in Garda itself, full of quaint narrow streets with quirky little shops as well as a beautiful lakeside promenade with bars and cafes.

Garda is a stunning town and would be a great place to visit on the morning of a game!

It’s been a fantastic first day and visiting the football and rugby clubs of the region tomorrow will give our trip a real sporting flavour!
