Reading School relive, rediscover and remember history in Berlin

Last updated: Sep 23rd, 2019

In spring this year, Reading School ventured to Berlin to uncover the city’s rich past on a history trip to remember. Berlin’s architecture tells the stories of the city’s complex history, whilst the museums and memorials recount the horrors of the Nazi period.

The school’s budding historians found their feet in the city with a guided walking tour, uncovering a piece of the past with every corner turned as they took in historic landmarks. Other highlights included visits to the Stasi Museum and archive (the organisation’s former headquarters), the German Resistance Memorial Centre and views across the city from the Reichstag Building’s rooftop terrace.

Here’s what they got up to

“This was a fascinating and intense non-stop learning experience.”
