Travelling with groups of different faiths

Last updated: Oct 31st, 2019

We work with international schools from all over the world, so we’re well accustomed to helping groups of different faiths and meeting specific religious requirements.

Tailoring every element of the trip until it’s right for you, we’ll work to ensure that your group’s wishes are met, whatever they may be. Whether it’s catering for specific dietary requirements or setting time aside for worship, we’re here to help.

If you’re travelling with a group of different religious backgrounds, take a look at our top 3 tips to make sure your trip runs smoothly.

1.      Religious and cultural requirements

The first step to making sure that specific requirements are met is to establish who will be going on the trip. Once you have a list of staff and students attending, you’ll need to find out what cultural and religious backgrounds there are by requesting this information from parents.

2.      Dietary requirements

We’ll ask you to provide a list of dietary requirements ahead of travel, so please make sure that you give this information when requested. We can then notify the accommodation and/or any restaurants you’ll be eating at.

In some destinations, options for those with dietary requirements can be limited, so you may need to follow a vegetarian diet for the duration of your tour. Don’t worry, we’ll work with you to make sure that you’re aware of what options are available.

3.      Prayer and worship

In the same way, when it comes to planning the itinerary for your group, if you’d like to set time aside for visiting a place of worship, please discuss this with your Sales Consultant/Tour Co-ordinator who will be able to integrate this into your itinerary.
