We were delighted to hear that Barnsley Youth Choir founder, Mat Wright, was named in the Queen’s 2020 New Year’s Honours List.
Mat’s much deserved MBE comes after a successful career in the choral music scene, throughout which he has dedicated his time to music education for young people.
Having worked all over the world supporting some of the most recognised events in the industry, Mat’s achievements are nothing short of impressive.
We were lucky enough to see one of Mat’s well-renowned workshops at the 2019 UK Choir Festival, leaving us in complete awe of his limitless talents.
