Geography School Trips to
Catalonia, Spain

Brimming with sandy beaches, rocky headlands, unspoiled coves and a collection of enchanting islands, the Costa Brava’s picturesque landscape is yearning to be explored.

This varied and extensive coastline is home to the vibrant city of Barcelona, attractive tourist resorts and traditional fishing villages. With as much charm as there is geographical insight – think coastal landscapes, volcanic landscapes and fluvial environments – it’s the perfect destination for younger students that’s not too unfamiliar.

When planning our geography school trips to Spain, we tend to base our groups in resorts along the coast, just north of Barcelona, where you'll have easy access to the Costa Brava, Barcelona and surrounding inland areas. We're talking the volcanic Garrotxa National Park and the rugged yet stunning multi-peaked Montserrat.

The DfE’s guidance for safe travel highlights the need for all those involved with the organisation and running of a tour to work together as a team. This is our aim at Rayburn Tours, to work together with our party leaders to ensure our groups' safety and peace of mind.

  • What should be included in my risk assessment?

Start by identifying the potential hazards before deciding on the appropriate precautions to minimize the potential risk for your group. Once identified, record your findings and implement the precautions. Specific requirements are available from your Local Authority.

  • Do you provide risk assessments for the visits you offer?

You can download our Generic Risk Management Handbook which will help you complete your risk assessment for your school or Local Authority.
