Somewhat hidden on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, Raudfeldsgja is a luscious, green gorge that invites you to experience nature like never before.

Located on the eastern side of the mountain known as Botnsfjall, the fissure doesn’t immediately appear to be accessible from the ground. However, as you venture closer to the base, you’ll find a small stream flowing from the fissure.

Stepping stones in the stream lead into the gorge where you’ll be immersed in a damp, green chamber, with moss-covered walls and the quiet sounds of natural life. Making things easy, it’s just a short walk to Raudfeldsgja.
