School Maths Trips to Florence
The epitome of the Renaissance and its mathematical discoveries
As the centre of Renaissance culture, Florence is home to some of the most celebrated mathematical and scientific figures who combined maths, science and art in ways that had never been seen before.
From the scientific collections of Leonardo da Vinci to the mathematical instruments of Galileo, you can explore everything this beautiful city has to offer. Use your trigonometry skills to calculate the angle of inclination of the Leaning Tower of Pisa and learn how Brunelleschi used geometry to construct the magnificent dome of Florence Cathedral.
