Harrison’s Cave

Harrison’s Cave

Harrison’s Cave is one of Barbados’ greatest natural wonders.

Visitors can take part in a guided tour and experience this beautiful crystallized limestone cavern, with its flowing streams, calm, glassy pools of water and stalactites and stalagmites.

Formed over thousands of year, the cave is around 2.3km in length and still carries water. Tours last one hour and involve visitors travelling by tram, where knowledgeable guides will point out structures of interest, such as the now disused early explorers’ entrance. At certain points, visitors can even get off of the tram for a closer look, making for a brilliant hands-on and informative excursion.
