This morning, Judy from the Rayburn Concert Tours team visited Bemrose School in Derby to give a careers talk on Travel and Tourism and her role in the industry. Set up by the Derby Business Partnership, and involving visiting speakers from local businesses, this morning event was a great opportunity for students of the school to gain an insight into what it’s like working in different career sectors.
Judy began her session by explaining some of the different roles within Travel and Tourism and then went on to talk about her own experience of working in the industry. Making sure to tell the students all about the skills they would need to get into the industry, including people skills, flexibility, languages and above all else, customer service, she gave the students an idea of ways to get into the industry should they wish to pursue a career in Travel and Tourism.
