6 Quick Reasons Why Vallnord is Perfect for School Ski Trips

Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

Having worked at Rayburn Tours for a number of years I’ve been lucky enough to visit a whole host of ski resorts. This February Half Term I packed up my skis and travelled to Vallnord, Andorra, for a great week of skiing.

Here are my top six reasons why Vallnord was the perfect resort for a school ski trip this February Half Term…

1. Conditions

Snow conditions were excellent, with plenty of snow across the whole mountain

2. Weather

We had excellent weather, 5 days of sunshine combined with 1 day of snow meant we were able to ski and top up our tans!

3. Beginner Progression

Vallnord gives excellent progression to beginners, with a big nursery slope serviced by a ‘Magic Carpet lift’ and a 2 man chair lift

4. Skiing abilities

The intermediate and advances skiers aren’t forgotten with plenty of Red and Black runs

5. Lift Queues

We waited no longer than 5 minutes in the lift queues – for peak February Half Term, that’s excellent

6. Off-Piste

The group were entertained with some fun off-piste sections that meant we didn’t need to travel over to Arinsal
