How does an Easter ski trip to Andorra compare to February half term?

Last updated: Apr 24th, 2019

I won’t lie, I was a little apprehensive about going skiing later on in the season, having experienced Andorra already this February half term and having had an amazing time. However, now I’ve experienced both, I can safely say they’re both amazing and different in their own right!

The conditions for this Easter were perfect; we were greeted by sunshine and fresh powder snow every morning. Obviously with it being later in the season I expected it to be warmer, but the temperatures remained low, so you still need your warmest clothes!

With the ski conditions being so ideal, I really had no place to hide when it came to trying to justify why I can’t ski very well! I’ve concluded that I’m definitely more of a people watcher, sitting in the sunshine with a hot chocolate thinking ‘yeah, I could do that’ or ‘I wonder if I look like that coming down the slope’ – probably not!

There’s definitely a nice chilled out atmosphere at Easter. The ski school know it’s nearing the end of the season, so they really enjoy their lessons and work hard to ensure the kids are making more and more progress each day. The group I accompanied had an incredible time and progressed superbly throughout the week.

All in all Andorra is a great place to visit for school skiing in both February and Easter, and having now visited during Easter, I won’t be so apprehensive about going skiing later on in the season again!
