Why Every School Trip Leader Needs Vamoos in Their Toolkit

What is Vamoos?

Vamoos is a digital platform designed to make trip management simple, efficient, and accessible. It brings together all your essential travel information – from itineraries and accommodation details to travel documents and updates – into one secure, easy-to-navigate app.

For schools, it’s the ideal way to share trip information with staff, students, and parents alike. Everyone can stay informed before and during the tour, helping to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for all.

All Vamoos accounts are created by us to ensure security and accuracy. All parents and students will use the same login details for the parent/student versions of the app. Teachers will have access to both their own teacher accounts and the student accounts. The teacher app includes all GDPR-protected information, while the parent app intentionally excludes it to ensure privacy and data security. Parents, students, and the party leader will each have their own separate logins, meaning no one needs to set up their own account.

If the group has a ‘parents/students’ version of Vamoos, they will be able to use the ‘Posts’ section to share pictures and messages. These posts are only accessible to users with the appropriate login details and are not publicly available online. This ensures they can be shared safely, allowing staff and students to use the page as a trip diary or to send updates home.

How To Use Vamoos

Vamoos accounts are set up at the time of booking, and the login details are sent out together with the booking confirmation email.  

When on the app, you’ll be able to: 

• View your full itinerary (once the itinerary has been agreed with the us), including travel, accommodation, and activity details. 

• See points of interest at your chosen destination. 

• Access important documents like kit lists, boarding passes, excursion tickets (these will only be available 2-4 weeks prior to departures), and travel guides. 

• Keep track of daily updates and reminders during your trip. 

Whilst Vamoos is the perfect hub for all your travel information, please note that it doesn’t include a messaging function between parents and students. All communication between these groups will continue to take place through the school’s approved channels.

Paper-Free Solution

Say goodbye to stacks of printed itineraries and forms! Vamoos allows schools and groups to go digital, keeping all essential trip documents, such as boarding passes, safely stored within the app. It’s an environmentally friendly and efficient way to stay organised, whilst helping to reduce paper waste. 

 Whilst this is incredibly convenient, we still recommend printing physical copies as a backup, just in case you need them at the airport. However, it is vital to note that some airlines, such as Ryanair, are no longer accepting paper copies.
