What Did the Itinerary Include Day to Day?
The tour began with departure from Gatwick Airport, before the group arrived in Orlando ready for a packed programme of sport and experiences.
Early highlights included a visit to Topgolf Orlando and a batting cage session at All Star Sportsplex – a true taste of American sporting culture. Standout moments came later in the week with an NBA game at the Kia Centre, where the Orlando Magic faced the Atlanta Hawks, and a live ice hockey game as the Orlando Solar Bears took on the South Carolina Stingrays.
The group also enjoyed time at major attractions, including Universal Studios Florida and Universal Volcano Bay. Another highlight was watching live ice hockey as the Orlando Solar Bears took on the South Carolina Stingrays.
As the week progressed, the focus returned to sport with football training and fixtures, alongside basketball sessions and a competitive match against King of Kings Lutheran Church and School. The tour concluded with some downtime and shopping at Orlando International Premium Outlets before flying home.
What Was the Most Memorable Moment of the Tour?
For party leader Dominic Stannard, watching the students compete so strongly against American opposition was a real highlight, especially when the basketball first team went into the final quarter holding the lead in a tightly contested game. The determination, teamwork, and belief they showed in that moment (and the way the whole group supported each other) really captured the value of the tour and what makes these experiences so powerful.
