The Island is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including some of the oldest free-standing temples in the world, older than Stonehenge and the Pyramids of Giza. The Megalithic Temples of Malta date back as far as 3600 BC, making them some of the earliest architectural wonders on Earth!

Maltese’s timeless traditions
Malta is renowned for their colourful, pride-filled traditions and celebrations that are deeply rooted in its history. At the heart of the Maltese culture is the ‘Festa’, a village feast honouring local patron saints through street parties, food, music, and religious devotion at the local church.
Another annual celebration is the Carnival, locally known as Il-Karnival ta Malta. It’s a joyous, colourful and religious parade celebrated in the week leading up to Lent, full of elaborate floats, costumes and dancing. This centuries-old tradition dates back to the 16th century and remains one of Malta’s most beloved cultural events.
