From the Classroom to Careers- Meet the Experts of the Next Generation: A Webinar for Language Teachers and Students

We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with the Association for Language Learning deliver an inspiring webinar for teachers and students on the exciting world of language-related careers.

We have a team of passionate linguists that will be sharing their personal journeys, insights, and real-world experiences, all with the aim of motivating and encouraging more students to further their language education and development and explore how the subject arms them with so many life skills.

The webinar will take place on 23 March 2026 at 4pm. If you or your students can’t join us live, don’t worry, the session will be recorded and made available as a classroom resource. Still sign up though to receive your free recording!

Joey Tempest

How languages open new doors to new experiences

Joey Tempest is one of our newest members of the Ski and Sports team, joining as a Tour Consultant with a rich background in language education. Throughout her career, Joey has built her lifelong passion for languages, from living in Andorra and tutoring at the Spanish Embassy, to teaching in UK schools and working in travel and tourism with Rayburn Tours.

Her love for languages was sparked by her experiences abroad, where immersing herself in different cultures deepened her understanding of the subject. Studying languages at university further broadened her horizons, opening doors to new opportunities and experiences.

With an enduring enthusiasm for learning and sharing languages, Joey continues to inspire others showing how language can connect people and cultures around the world.

Claire Storey

Languages is the key to success

Since graduating with her degree in German and Spanish, Claire has built a career proving that language skills are a gateway to success. From her early work in export to running her own tuition business, retraining as a translator, and most recently thriving in the travel industry, Claire has leveraged her mastery of languages to create opportunities at every stage of her professional journey.

Today, she is a Product Executive at Rayburn Tours, and an award-winning translator of books for young readers. Her path shows that languages aren’t just tools for communication, they are a passport to new careers, new experiences, and new achievements.

Passionate about inspiring others, Claire champions the idea that learning languages can multiply career prospects, unlock new opportunities, and empower success.

Marek Malec

Learning a new language after moving countries

Marek Malec is a native Polish speaker who learned English as a foreign language. He moved to England in 2006, where he had to pick up English quickly to study for his GCSEs. He also studied German and French at GCSE level, but it was German that captured his interest and led him to pursue it at university.

During his year abroad, Marek lived in Austria, where he developed a new passion for Italian through friendships he formed there. After returning to complete his degree in German and Linguistics and completed a year of studying beginner/intermediate Italian. He then graduated with a degree in German and Italian as an additional language.

After university, Marek joined a translation agency as a project manager and was later promoted to Head of Client Project, thanks in large part to his strong language skills.

Marek believes that learning languages opens the door to experiencing different cultures and that people are more willing to help when you speak their language. He hopes to learn Greek next.

Clara Grice

From the classroom to TikTok

Clara Grice is a Marketing Executive at Rayburn Tours. Her passion for languages began whilst studying Spanish at A-Level, which ignited a fascination that led her to pursue Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish at university.

During her studies, Clara developed a deep connection to Latin American culture, which inspired her to embark on a six-month solo adventure across South America. She often reflects on how speaking the languages helped her build stronger connections and led to authentic interactions whilst travelling, with locals showing kindness and warmth when they learned they had languages in common.

Today, Clara channels her love for languages and cultures through her TikTok channel, where she shares her language learning journey with a community of fellow language enthusiasts. She also continues to use her language skills to fuel her solo travels, embracing new cultures and creating authentic experiences wherever she goes.

After our incredible speakers, we will host a live Q & A session, giving you and your students the chance to ask our linguists questions as part of an interactive experience. If we don’t get to your question during the session, our experts will follow up after the webinar.
