Educational Trips Coordinator and party leader, Vasso Georgiades, has now travelled with us on nine trips, delivering unforgettable learning experiences for students across a wide range of subjects. 

From the Swiss Alps to the heart of London, these tours have combined curriculum learning with real-world experiences that simply can’t be recreated in the classroom. 

Bringing Learning to Life Across Europe

Working closely with Vasso and The Grammar School Nicosia, we’ve helped create carefully tailored tours designed to support multiple curriculum areas while also giving students the opportunity to grow socially and personally. 

One tour to Switzerland brought together geography, economics and physics in one exciting itinerary. Students explored everything from alpine landscapes to global banking institutions and even visited a particle accelerator facility, allowing them to see real-world applications of the subjects they study every day. 

Following the success of the Switzerland tour, the school travelled with us again to London on a cross-curricular trip. By combining diverse subject areas into one tour, students were able to make wider connections between their studies while experiencing some of the world’s most important cultural and political landmarks firsthand. 

Speaking about the value of these experiences, Vasso explained:

It’s an opportunity for students to gain experience of a combination of topics, stimulate motivation, broaden horizons, finalise topics to take for their university degree, gain knowledge about other subjects they may not know about and see real-world examples of subjects they’re studying.

Educationally, it stimulated interest with real-world examples that were part of the curriculum. Socially, the bonding was fantastic – with students coming out of their shell, showing independence – and they’ll carry those memories for the rest of their life.
