Excellent conditions
Historically, February is one of the most snow-sure months of the winter season. With previous months supplying a strong and sturdy base alongside consistent snowfall, it provides great coverage and well-groomed slopes for all skiers and snowboarders and those visiting lower altitude resorts.
Not only this, but the longer, brighter days and slightly higher temperatures allow students to have a more productive and enjoyable time on the slopes, without worrying as much about natural daylight and staying warm compared to earlier in the winter.
Who wouldn’t want to hit the slopes in the sunshine!
Vibrant atmosphere
February is considered to be the peak of winter sports season for many European resorts, as they come alive, operating at their fullest! Students can soak up the buzz and fun atmosphere as they grow in confidence on the slopes.
Many resorts across Europe put on additional evening activities for families and youth groups, meaning the adventure doesn’t stop when the lifts close! Students have the opportunity to explore the resort and take part in group activities, giving them a variety of memorable experiences both on and off the slopes.
Provides a unique break for students
A school ski trip during the February half-term gives students the chance to take part in a fun and unique break from their day-to-day responsibilities, without missing any classroom learning time. By taking students to the slopes, its time for them to truly unplug from their academic studies and step into a week of adventure with classmates.
School ski trips are also enriching experiences for all. From travelling to a new destination and becoming immersed in alpine living, to learning new skills and making unforgettable memories with friends, students have time to challenge themselves, build confidence and experience something completely different from their usual routine. So, when they return home, they will feel refreshed, inspired and full of stories to share.
