Rey Cup Football Tournament,
Iceland

We’re proud to announce that we’re the exclusive UK partner of the Rey Cup. A smaller tournament than the Gothia Cup in Sweden, this friendly competition is all about inclusion and fun with regular pool parties, barbecues and disco nights, creating a true festival vibe.

The city of Reykjavik sponsors the tournament by giving access to local schools surrounding the site where teams will make their home for the duration of their stay. Accommodation, playing fields, activities and a geothermal swimming pool are all less than 10 minutes apart, making it safe and logistically simple for boys’ and girls’ U14 and U16 football teams.

90 teams annually compete in the Rey Cup and the superb facilities, high standard of opposition and quality excursions make for a perfect football tournament. But while the vibe may be relaxed, the competition is fierce.

Teams will progress through the group stages to a knock-out tournament, playing against teams from all around the globe, whilst between fixtures it’s all about having on at the on-site facilities, exploring Reykjavik or getting some much needed R&R in the world famous Blue Lagoon.

As a company, we send thousands of children to Iceland each year, so we really are the experts.

“We had a fantastic time during the Rey Cup 2015. The facilities were excellent and playing against Icelandic teams plus Norwich and Stoke was a great experience. The great atmosphere and social events made this the perfect tournament.” – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Clausenengen FK.
