Day 2

Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

Hey all!

What can I say, it has been another fantastic day in Iceland! It started off by travelling to Thingvellir National Park. We had a walk through the park, taking in the beautiful sites and learning about it´s geology and history. After that, we visited the geysirs. That was an awesome experience! A highlight was definitely trying to get a photo of one of our kids jumping at the same time in which the water from the geysir flew into the air (needless to say that was pretty much impossible, although we did get lots of great photos!) After the geysir, we travelled on to Gullfoss waterfall which was just… wow! We were all super impressed at the power and magnitude of the falls! Definitely an incredible experience and some have said the best of the trip so far.

When we got back to the hotel it was time for more swimming!! The lovely warm water definitely made up for the fact that it is only 5 degrees! Running from the changing rooms to the pool was chiiiilly! And then running from the pool and to waterslide was another chiiiiillly experience! The 2 mile an hour slide was definitely worth the cold though- even Miss L, Miss M and Mr W got down the slide!

We’ve got a birthday today, so we’re planning a fun quiz and maybe even some cake for this evening!

That’s all for now!

Miss L 🙂
