Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

We woke this morning to an early alarm clock as today we were on our way to the Grand Canyon. The coach was due to leave the hotel at 8 am and so we had to have breakfast early and be ready to travel.

We left the hotel promptly and made our way to the iconic LV sign for group photos. We were lucky that this time in the morning, the sign was really quiet and so we had it all to ourselvs. After group photos we were back on the bus and en route to the Hoover dam. We were here about an hour, taking photos and studying the construction. It was such an impressive sight, along with the new bridge! Wow!

After the Hoover dam we made our way to the Grand Canyon. The pupils were so excited. Being able to see one of the natural wonders of the world was pretty incredible. Pupils were snap happy with their cameras and enjoyed to scenery immensely. Lunch was included in the tour which was great as it saved pupils more money. We visited the Ranch belonging to the Hualapi tribe; Guano Point and Eagle point. At Eagle Point we went on the Sky Walk and had group photos taken. What an experience!

We left the Grand Canyon at around 4pm to make our way back to Las Vegas. We drove through the desert, over the bridge by the Hoover Dam and arrived back at around 6:30pm. We decided on some retail therapy at the M&MS Store before going for tea at the Rainforest Cafe! That was an experience! Every 10 minutest robotic animals came to life and we were surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest!

After tea some pupils were tired and made their way back to the hotel with Mr and Mrs W however the rest went across the strip to New York New York hotel and casino to ride the Manhattan Express – a replica of the rollercoaster at Coney Island! The pupils were buzzing with excitement and then we left the strip and headed back to our hotel for bed!
