Las Vegas Day 2

Last updated: Jan 30th, 2019

Alarms were set for 8am for breakfast at 9am. We met by the pool at the hotel and all went to the breakfast room. Excellent choice of food: cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles… Pupils and teachers were able to fill up for the day.

Left the hotel and took the monorail to the stratosphere. Had to walk through the new SLS Hotel and Casino. It was very nice and incredibly modern. Stopped for group photos. At the Stratosphere took the lift to the 109th floor. Studied the panoramic views of Las Vegas before going outside for the rides: X Scream, Big Shot and ? Many pupils were very brave and went on the rides and loved them.

After the stratosphere we took the monorail to Harrahs hotel and casino. Walked through the casino to the strip before walking up to the fashion show mall for lunch in the food court, stopping for photos along the way. At the food court pupils could eat Japanese, Chinese, Greek and Italian food as well as pizza burgers and hot dogs.

After lunch walked to the dolphin and lion habitat at theMirage. Spent an hour watching the Dolphins with their trainers! It was very peaceful. We then decided to go on the High Roller at the Linq – the newest complex on the strip! The High a Roller was amazing. We saw fabulous night time views of the strip from the tallest big wheel on the planet.

We then walked down to the Miracle Mile shops to go for tea in Cheeseburger Las Vegas. It was a lovely tea in a Hawaiian themed restaurant. After tea pupils requested to go home to bed as they were exhausted and so we took the group home to the hotel for bed.

An excellent first full day on the strip.
