Our Team’s Top Accommodation Picks in Sestriere

Sestriere continues to be one of the most popular ski destinations amongst our school groups, thanks to its welcoming atmosphere, excellent safety record and a layout that makes skiing incredibly accessible. To help you choose the best base for your next ski trip, we’re sharing our top accommodation recommendations below.

Sestriere

Hotel Biancaneve

Hotel Biancaneve is a favourite for its convenience and classic Alpine charm. Situated close to the town centre and the main après-ski spots, it offers a warm and cosy atmosphere from the moment you step inside. Groups staying here enjoy a pleasant twelve-minute walk through the town to reach the ski school and the main lifts, giving students a chance to soak in the resort’s lively feel.

All rooms are ensuite, and the restaurant is consistently praised for both quality and service. The interiors feel comfortable and authentically Alpine, making evenings particularly inviting! There is also a leisure room which works brilliantly for group activities, including relaxed movie nights. Rayburn Tours’ Product Manager Marina describes the hotel as a genuinely reliable choice.

Hotel Biancaneve has that classic alpine warmth that groups instantly love. It’s cosy, welcoming and run by a team who genuinely look after our schools year after year.

Hotel Olimpic

Hotel Olimpic shares many of the qualities that make Hotel Biancaneve a top pick! Its location is excellent, with only a short walk to both the centre of Sestriere and the ski lifts. Similar to Hotel Biancaneve, all rooms are ensuite, and the food is particularly delicious. The interior style creates a warm, homely feeling, and the leisure room gives travelling groups an ideal place to gather in the evenings.

One of the major advantages of Hotel Olimpic is that it can offer sole occupancy for groups large enough to fill the building, which is something teachers often find reassuring. Rayburn has a long-standing relationship with the hotel, and the staff are known for going above and beyond.

The hotel staff were superb [at Hotel Olimpico] – they could not do enough for us. Having sole occupancy was brilliant, and the small nature of the hotel worked perfectly. The location to the slopes was fantastic.

Why These Hotels Stand Out

Both Hotel Biancaneve and Hotel Olimpic have earned their place at the top of our recommendations. Their locations are ideal, their food and service consistently reliable, and their staff have years of experience working with school groups. They understand what our travellers need and frequently offer small gestures – like early check-ins -that make a real difference. For February travel especially, these two hotels remain our strongest and most dependable options.

These two hotels are incredibly practical for school groups. The staff know our groups so well and routinely go the extra mile – early check-ins, thoughtful touches, you name it. They really make our clients feel taken care of.

Villaggio Olimpico – Easter Season Only

For groups travelling at Easter, Villaggio Olimpico provides a great alternative. Originally built for the Olympic Games, the property is significantly larger than the two hotels above and offers an impressive range of facilities, including activity rooms, a gym and access to a swimming pool. Meals are buffet-style and the package-style pricing means that food and ski school are all included, giving group leaders less to organise.

Villaggio Olimpico also enjoys one of the best locations in the resort, sitting closest to the slopes and only an eight-minute walk from the Olimpica Ski Centre meeting point. For Easter groups wanting a lively base with plenty of onsite amenities, it’s a strong and convenient choice; please note that hotel is not available during February.
