Their guided tour is tailored to your students’ educational needs

We’re all about the bespoke service – and this doesn’t stop when it comes to our tour guides. Your guide will be in touch before your trip to introduce themselves. Then, you’ll work together so they can find out more about the learning and social needs of your students.

They’ve done their research on your group

Wherever they can, they’ll tailor your tour to make it personal for your group. Because nothing connects more with a student like standing before the grave of a 15-year-old boy, or a soldier who left their local area and never returned.

What’s more, if one of your students lost a family member in one of the conflicts, they’ll aim to find their resting place or their name in the memorial book. Also – for a memorable moment for the whole group – they can even lead a wreath laying ceremony to pay respects to the late family member.

They can be flexible with your itinerary

So, if there’s time, they may stop to explain some points made at a previous visit or to help answer a student’s question. What’s more, they usually know tour areas like the backs of their hands. So, if a slight change to your itinerary can boost you tour, they’ll try to make it happen!

They’ll call on their contacts

Our History Tour Guides travel a lot. As a result, they make some very useful friends along the way. Overall, they’ll work their magic to make sure you get the most at every site, often calling on their friends and contacts to add that little extra something.

  Yes! You will be allocated a designated History Tour Guide and based on your location in the UK, your History Tour Guide will either meet you on departure from the UK or on arrival in your destination.

  It will depend on the destination and duration of your tour, so the best way to get an answer is to speak to your tour consultant, who will be happy to discuss this with you.

• Can I request a History Tour Guide we have had previously?
  Absolutely! Many of our groups create a great friendship with their History Tour Guide and wish to have them accompany their groups on tour year after year. Whilst we can’t guarantee it, we will do our very best to fulfil any requests.

• Will I know who our History Tour Guide is before we travel?
  Your History Tour Guide will be allocated well in advance of your trip, and you will have their details on your final itinerary.
