Tailor-made School Sports Tours to

Tailor-made School Sports Tours to
Belgium

A time capsule of medieval towns, enchanting castles and charming canals, Belgium still manages to maintain its youthful, contemporary edge with some of the best multi-sport opportunities around.

Nestled within Belgium’s vibrant urban scene lies a collection of historic churches, quirky cafes and pretty market squares, where every turn transports you into a different pocket of time. Choosing to base yourself in Bruges or Ghent, you’ll feel right at home in these safe, quiet and school-friendly cities where excellent sports facilities are right on your doorstep. Because who ever said you have to travel half way across the world for first-class sport?

Football, rugby, netball and hockey are all big-hitters in Belgium and you’re never short on training opportunities. As one of the top-rated sporting nations in the world for football and hockey, Belgium offers up plenty of competition.

Head over to Brussels for big city vibes and world-class sports facilities at the British School of Brussels, where its purpose-built campus is the perfect environment for students to develop their skills. Easy to get to, great value and a short travel distance, Belgium is a no-brainer.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you provide risk assessments for the visits you offer?

You can download our Generic Risk Management Handbook which will help you complete your risk assessment for your school or Local Authority. The aim of the handbook is to provide all tour leaders with supportive suggestions to help raise awareness to risk, suggest control measures to help mitigate the risk and manage risk pro-actively. For further assistance, please speak to a member of our team who will be happy to help.

  • Do your hotels comply with our Local Authority’s guidelines?

All hotels are audited to standards set by the School Travel Forum (STF), this criteria is based on information and guidance from educational authorities. Whilst local laws and standards have to be taken into consideration, as they may differ from country to country, our standards do not. We are happy to provide copies of our hotel audits should you wish to see them.
  • Is our Tour Manager fully DBS (formerly CRB) checked?

Our Tour Manager, Field Study Tutors and History Tour Guides, with UK citizenship, have an enhanced DBS check. Non UK citizenship Tour Managers cannot be checked under the DBS scheme. Rayburn Tours will seek confirmation that Tour Managers are suitable for working with children by liaising with relevant foreign agents and monitoring group feedback.

  • Can I talk to Rayburn Tours whilst out on tour?

Yes, a 24-hour emergency phone number will be provided in your final documents pack and one of our experienced members of staff will be happy to help with any problems you have whilst out on tour.
