School Sports Tours provides the opportunity for students to explore the world, engage with new and interesting cultures, and above all, have the time of their lives playing their favourite sport with their friends.

The Girls Hockey Team at Queenswood School await the summer of a lifetime as they prepare for a hockey tour to the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka.

This country is quite possibly one of the most educationally-rich and engaging places you could ever visit as a school sports tourist. The sport is played at a surprisingly competitive level across most disciplines, and insightful excursions complete a varied and innovative itinerary that starts at Kandy in the Hill Country and concludes on the white sands of Hikkaduwa.

Twenty-one students, twelve days and a fun-filled itinerary is a recipe for an unforgettable sports trip. As well as the incredible weather, stunning scenery and unbelievable local passion for sports, the group can look forward to exciting excursions in-between their sporting fixtures!

In addition, those looking to experience the local culture will enjoy a traditional Kandyan dance performance, followed by a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. There’s even time to meet the turtles at the Turtle Hatchery in Bentota!
